Renting a house or flat in Gambia is quite easy if you know a few local people. They will help you by talking to friends and relatives in the area you would like to live. We found a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house [with seperate 2 roomed house with bath] for under 85000Dalasi.Just make sure you get a proper rental agreement. We went to the local police station to have our contract witnessed.A couple of hundred Dalasi is all that was needed for this service. You could play it safe and use a solicitor, but they tend to be quite a bit more expensive than English solicitors [as we found out when we bought a plot of land].
