How come an Egyptian, is a foreigner in his country?

Maybe he mean that if  he is from Alex and now located in Cairo he is a foreigner in Cairo,and vice versa ,hahaha

Hello is i am in a similar situation, i have moved here around one year, i have met a few new people and i really like the Egyptians as a Culture, but i have not been able to make any friend. Is there any place that i could go to and meet people?

Why not just hang here and reply to threads where people ask about stuff? Many prefer to see what you write for a while before wanting to take it any further.

Very possible. My wife from Heliopolis consider people from Alex to be foreigners

Maybe this person is looking for a tutor? It's a weird request..

'Tutor ' is one word for what he is looking ofr - but it isn't the one I would use.

But after being a member of these EXPAT forums for a while - I am more than a little cynical!

Expat forums are typical gold digger havens. So, it's better to be cynical and sceptical. I have reported several "friendly requests" here already for gold digging.

AND by the way - I would love to know what everyone's definition of an EXPAT is - trust me it is not 'someone looking to marry / for love!!'

An expat as far as I know is a person living outside his country of origin.

I think there are different definitions of expat. For exmaple i grew up between Dubai with a little time spent in Mascut and Bratislava. I only moved to egypt about 4 years ago. I felt like an expat for the first couple of years... Maybe that's what he meant..

no - there is only one dfefinition of expatriate - and Basicus gave it above!!
