I am also looking into this as I am searching for a teacher/class.  What stlye do you practise?

I know of some boxing gyms, which offer a bit of Muy Thai and there are 'Ladies Classes' :(

I have also been in touch with someone from an Aikido dojo.

PM me if you'd like the websites and email addresses.

Sorry havnt replied yr pm yet but will , I'm looking at teaching myself . I'm an instructor of Shotokan karate and have taught for 10 yrs.
I have 3 clubs with about 350 students ,
We have won many competitions and have alot of natural talent at the clubs
I was told that woman are not allowed to teach classes ,for obvious reasons ?

I have managed to find a few ladies classes, but they are taught by men.  I am going to see someone today about a Muy Thai class I want to attend.  I will try to get some info about this.  It might be possible in the ex-pat community, but I don't know if there is a specific law against it.  I know for certain that there are females who practise Karate as I met one the other day.  Will keep you posted...

Hi All,

It is not illegal, women can teach.  Most probably a woman teacher would have only women students.  Because of the close contact 'lots of touching' of non-related person of the opposite sex, there may be lots of opposition to a 'mixed' class.  I don't think you have to worry about this with expats though.  I guess it depends on the owner or coordinator of the space/gym/dojo.
I have heard of classes for women, but taught by men.  I would love to see a woman teaching a martial arts class here and would travel to take it.  I have taken mainly AIkido, some hapkido, jujitsu and tang-su-do.  If anyone has any information please pm or post.  Best of luck, keep us posted.

You can teach classes to women, but you may not touch men. Though some they might deserve a good beating.
