In Cape Verde and looking to meet new people

missnnsmith

Hi All

I’m in Boa Vista, Sal Rei on holiday and thought it would be nice to meet new people on my travels.

I’ll be visiting the other islands from next month.

If anyone is interested in meeting (for friendship only) feel free to contact me.

In Praia now and I love it here. Got an apartment, go to the local gym, found a wonderful bakery (not indulged yet), got a friendly taxi driver that takes me for errands. After work I can walk to the beach, the lighthouse and enjoy the sunset. It’s so green and lush in Santiago compared to dry arid Boa Vista.

Visited Tarrafal which is a beautiful quiet town on the other side of the island but came back to Praia.

Im here until 27 December. Then I’m off to Fogo.

In Fogo island, staying in São Filipe.

Fogo has stunning landscapes. It’s the hottest of the 3 islands I’ve been to so far. Black sand beaches are gorgeous.

Trekked halfway up Mount Pico yesterday and had to turn back because of strong winds. Wasn’t safe for anyone.

Fogo cheese and wine are really good. The grapes and cheese are produced around the volcano area.

Coffee beans are grown in Mosteira.

Salinas beach is the only safe place for swimming. Other beaches are good just for walking and photos. It’s where the ocean meets the coast. Not suitable for swimming.

I'm here for another week, then off to Brava.

Fogo is a great place to come for rest, relaxation and unwinding.

@Saxio

Hiya..

Thank you! ðŸ™ðŸ¾

I’ll be in Cape Verde until end of February/early March.

Brava is the next stop on Saturday 😎

Are you currently in CV?

If yes, what island are you on?

missnnsmith

Hey everyone..

Now on Brava island staying in Fajã de Agua.

a beautiful quaint, serene and peaceful village.

Brava is so green and lush. Almost reminds me of the Caribbean.

think I’ll really love my stay here.

I will be in Praia in March. Hoping to connect if you're still there then!

Your updates are a big encouragement and I hope I enjoy my stay too.

Hi folks..

still in Cape Verde.

currently in São Nicolau.

Going to Sal in 2 days.

Sal will be the 10th and final island.

my favourite islands so far:

Santo Antão

Santiago and Fogo at #2 - it’s difficult!

São Nicolau

Maio

Brava

Boa Vista

Santa Luzia

São Vicente - I really didn’t like it here

Sal - I wasnt looking forward to it but have changed my perspective as I’ll be staying in Espargos where the locals live and away from the superficial tourist hub of Santa Maria.

My time in Cape Verde sis coming to an end. I’ve really enjoyed spending time on the different islands. Island hopping by ferry is not for the weak!

Hi Natasha. Glad to see that you're discovering all the islands and having quite an adventure. Please tell us why Santo Antão was your favorite island, and why São Vicente was your least favored.

I'm curious to know what was it about Sao Vincent that you didn't like?
