Its best to come prepared to work online, and volunteer here to help the locals or create a business somehow to employ others as well. Standard of living is great for foreigners with their own money and access to imported items, but can be difficult and expensive for the average worker with income of 200-500 Euro monthly salary. Be active once here about practicing and learning kriolo (actual spoken language, especially amongst children and youth) as well as Portuguese (official language for trade here.)
