I am from Pakistan, recent Mechanical Engineering graduate
I have a job offer in Luanda, Angola from a multinational firm as a fresh engineer, they are offering me 3000$/month, accommodation + food (during office timings), 90/15 days rotation , 4 return tickets back to home.

Please let me know is this enough salary while living in Angola?I ll be moving alone, I am non drinker, non smoker and have a very simple life style, how much i can save at the end of month?

Please give me some idea, i ll be moving here in January 2014

how much is it feasible for me?
what will be the expense of food/month , and if i manage to cook at my apartment ?

what will be the monthly expense for single person, living alone and with moderate life style/eating habits ?

Farhan,
Angola is extremely expensive and for 3000$ I would not work here. You would end up saving nothing and living in the worst conditions ever. The offered salary is on the lower side compare to average salary for an engineer in Angola.
Also you need to consider safety.

By virtue of the authority vested in the senate of University and recommended as hereby awarded the Degree of Bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering at Asmara, Eritrea on 2007 & I have expected to be $3,000 with full living serivce.

Have you moved already? How is it going with the salary you are offered. Do you have any idea about how much Angola pays for finance/insurance specialist?
