Good question Julien. I basically moved to China cos i wanted something new, a challenge. And then i'd met lots of Chinese in Australia as well as in the Netherlands and so i got "connected" - sucked into the world of China.

I speak a little Chinese now (basic, with good pronunciation) and it does help a lot get around here in Guangzhou. Life is never really easy here however, it s just too different, but then again, you gotta challenge yourself and try to learn about other cultures. Know what i mean? Are you from Quebec?

Yes I know what you mean, living abroad is made of several challenges, and integrating to the local life (and speaking the local language) might be the most interesting part

and what language do they speak down there in Mauritius? It s an island off the coast of Africa right? Do you keep a blog? Love to read it sometime.

I speak English and French here. And I try to learn Creole, the local language.
