London cheaper than Paris.

I find that strange too.

Sorry to come into this so late, but if that's the list off the report everyone was all agog over last year, the criteria for the list was from a certain number of businessmen who lived at a certain level of comfort that most of us would find wildly out of our budgets.  They would NOT reflect the budget priorities of the normal everyday b*st*rd on the street.  :)

London is definitely the most expensive place in the world except for beer (6 euros to take the train to the next station !!!!)

Tokyo is not so expensive, most of the studies are based on Western people needs, that's why it's often first, but asian food is less expensive than french food in Paris. Rents are a bit more expensive than in Paris but quality of the flats and quality of living is much higher !

Whoever made that list didn't go to Luanda!
It's more expensive to live in Angola than in Paris!

It depends if you look at it as a tourist or as someone that have to live in the city.
London seems to be one of the most expensive places to live in, cost of flats.
But if you work here it is not so hard to make living here. Especially if you don't have kids... With kids it's a little bit harder, one of you have to stay home, but still not impossible.

London is quite expensive I believe, my  sister who is a student is Birmingham says the same thing.

Any idea about Scotland? Heard it's less expensive compared to London

ekacnet

As usual for this depending on the source it is very variable ...

Julien

Where else can you pay £2 for one strawberry!  In season!

If you compare rents, in Angola, for a flat, it's nothing less than $1'000, no matter the size of the think. It's most likely to start from $1'000. Flats to buy are no less than several hundred thousand, paid cash...
Hmm.
