Ciao!What has been anyone's experience with obtaining a mortgage in Italy as a US citizen? Either with or without residency?I've heard stories some okay and some incredibly difficult. Curious to hear from the forum. Grazie!

Hello, Does anyone have advice on how to obtain a tax ID in italy as a current US citizen? Is it possible to do during a visit? Are appointments required? We are looking to do this in Asti. We will be there in 2 weeks.Grazie!

Posting an update: codice fiscale has been secured. I pulled down the form from the website above, filled out and printed. Was able to make an in person appointment online. Showed up at the local office in Alba with the form and our passports and ... Read More
