FACT: Its never easy to get a job offer first before coming over. Unless you posses a next skill set, or in a scientific industry with a phd, you its very hard for you to have a company that'd go the distance and help you out with your visa work.

Truth of the matter is - its easier to get the PR first, then land and then search for a job.

If you understand that, than, my advice for a person in  your field, its always safer to aim for the larger cities as there are more vacancies there than the medium sized ones.

To get a good perspective about the stats of people in your field - use the website jobbank.gc.ca and click on Explorer Careers by Occupation and play around with the features. You'll see statistics about what the employment rate, the salary range, location etc.

Btw, I am from Malaysia too but I am based in small to mid sized Halifax, NS which is not your typical destination for immigrants. There aren't many Malaysians here. But that's not the case if you head to bigger cities like Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary or even Vancouver.

Hello friends ,

I would like to ask few doubtful question about my field. basically my job role is a web developer. I have experience in this field. I am graduated from BSc ( Hons) computing degree in UK and several other professional and academic qualifications as well.  My age is now 28, still not married.

My  question is can i apply for the PR. ? In Australia can apply for visa based on POINTS (60) I can already get 30 for my age.  what if i complete MSC in computing and apply for PR in CA ? Is it worth ?

Thanks
